“Our House Is On Fire” is a moving visual and musical wake-up call to the world. In the roles of songwriter, performer, and first-time video editor, a much-loved foundation member of the Club, Helen Perris’ drive and passion for our planet’s future is palpable and insistent.

As a result, Helen says:

“On the day of the School Strike 4 Climate, I sat at home. Unable to attend, however, I felt like I needed to do something to make sure I included my voice in the many. The theme for the week was Dashing. As a result, I immediately thought of my children’s future hopes and dreams being dashed by inaction regarding our climate crisis. So I wrote this song in anger as an open letter to our political leaders. Above all, I was inspired by the words of Greta Thunberg. It was recorded with Josh Schuberth on Monday and released three weeks later, which is the fastest I’ve ever turned around a project.”
