Gold
Songwriter – Hannah Acfield
“I saw to my left hand side, on my desk, my Camino certificate which is currently housed in a roll with gold shells pictured on the outside. The shell is the symbol of the Camino de Santiago. I walked the Camino, solo in Feb but feel like I’ve been processing the journey ever since. It was quite challenging alone, as a woman, in a strange country – I didn’t see any other walkers for three days. I got lost. I quit, then un-quit. I was very scared at times but I pushed through and made it to the end!”
Noise
Songwriter – Linda Ronald
Sometimes the theme is the thing that makes way for a song about something more relevant: “I found my mind whirling and unable to focus on the weekly theme. The noise kept getting in the way. So I wrote about it.”
So High
Songwriter – Crystal Robins
“Looking to my left was my book of old song lyrics, I took a line from that which I had written a long time ago and went from there. This song is about appreciating the good things when you have them, knowing that nothing lasts forever.”
